First formation will be held at 0700 where the 1SG will take accountability. At this time all cadets will be issued one MRE and a set of protective eyewear (eye-pro). Next all cadets will file into the classroom where they will receive instructional courses on Troop Leading Procedures (TLP), preparation of Terrain Model Kits (TMK) and the Operations Orders (OPORDS). This block of instruction will last from 0730 to 0930. Following classes, all cadets will be broken down in to even squads and given a class on Intro to Battle Drills. This block of instruction will last until 1130, and at that time cadets will break for lunch (MRE). Lunch will conclude at 1230 and all cadets will be issued rifles and road march along Route Black to Area Orange for where the remainder of our training will occur. Upon arrival to training area Orange, all cadets will be broken down into their original training squads to commence STX training. All cadets will receive leadership positions and learn how to execute a movement to contact (MTC) mission. STX training will conclude at 1530 and at that time all cadets will march back to Area Gold, turn in rifles, and conduct an AAR before being released by 1600. Advance Course MS3: At approximately 0700 the Advanced course cadets will fall into company formation to take accountability. Immediately following accountability the AC cadets will be issued 1 MRE and 1 set of Eye protection. Upon issuance the AC cadets will load up onto 3 vans and depart UNCC campus at 0715 (Cadets are authorized to POV to Davidson). The vans should arrive at Davidson college campus at 0800 where the AC cadets will offload and fall into formation. After instruction and test strip with maps have been issued, the AC cadets will have from 0830 to 1330 to navigate and find 8 land navigation points. Once all the AC cadets have returned from the land navigation course they will move to the FLRC course. Upon arrival they will be broken down into 8 squads. Each squad will follow 1 STO evaluator and will complete 4 lanes, 25 minutes each lane. At each lane 1 AC cadet will be chosen to lead the squad through the mission and upon completion will receive a blue card evaluation. The squads will rotate from each lane at a designated time until 1530, upon which time the AC cadets will reconnoiter, conduct an AAR, and load up onto the vans. The vans will depart Davidson college campus at 1600. Upon arrival at UNCC campus the AC cadets will form up for a final accountability formation and be released.
