SCHOOL-WIDE CHANGE OF MAJOR APPLICATION

Thisapplicationis to beusedifyouareanundergraduateTischstudentrequestingadmissionto a different department at Tisch.

REQUIREMENTS: Studentsmustbeenrolledin thedepartmentto whichtheywereoriginallyadmittedforonefullyearbefore they maytransferto anotherdepartment.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If youenteredTischas a transferstudent,your transfercreditfromyour previouscollege(s)maynotapply towards your new degree requirements or may be applied differently. All transfer credit is subject to the policiesand proceduresof your newdepartment(e.g.residencyrequirementsandtransfercreditmaximums.)

PROCESS:

1. Youare required to obtain the signature of your current department chair.

2. AllTischdepartmentsrequirea creativereview.

Pleasevisit tocheckthecurrentguidelinestosubmita portfolioor schedule an audition. Auditions should be scheduled by contacting the department as soon as possible. Portfolios should be given to the program of your interest. Please indicate to the department of interestthat youare interested in changing your major within Tisch.

3. Pleasesubmita one-pageessayindicatingwhyyouwish tochange your majortoanotherdepartmentat Tisch.

4. After you have received the approval of your current department chair, submitthisapplicationto:PatriciaDecker,
