Background
The National Dissemination Center for Career and Technical Education is one of two centers funded by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE) to support career and technical education. The Dissemination Center focuses on effective practices and professional development in Career and Technical Education (CTE). The other center is the National Research Center for Career and Technical Education.
Overview
The National Dissemination Center operates in consultation with OVAE and is designed to disseminate research-based practices and provide professional development opportunities in the field of CTE. Services and products are focused on helping students achieve the academic and technical skills needed to succeed in their chosen career paths.
The National Dissemination Center represents a consortium of universities that include: Ohio State University, the University of Minnesota, the University of Oregon, the University of Illinois at Champaign – Urbana, and Pennsylvania State University. Johns Hopkins University and the Academy of Educational Development are associate partners.
