NO SHORTS

Starting Friday, November 1, Roosevelt students are NOT permitted to wear shorts. Shorts may be worn again in April.

TIME CHANGE

We will be falling behind with our time change at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning November 3. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep!

WAIVER DAY

There will be no school for students on Tuesday, November 5 due to teacher meetings.

ELECTION DAY

Please don’t forget to vote on Tuesday, November 5.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

There will be Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, November 26, from 3 - 9 p.m. Conference appointment papers will be sent home on Friday, November 15 and are due back as soon as possible. These conferences will be made in the order that they are received, and every effort will be made to schedule your appointment as close to the time you have requested. Please remember, each conference will be limited to 10 minutes, so please be prompt for your appointment. Confirmation of your appointment time will be sent home on Friday, November 22, 2019.

THANKSGIVING BREAK

There will be no school on Wednesday, November 27, Thursday, November 28, Friday, November 29, and Monday, December 2. Classes will resume on Tuesday, December 3.

INTERIM REPORTS

Report cards will be going home on Tuesday, November 26, for grades 1-6. Please call the office if you do not receive one.

SPELLING BEE

The annual Roosevelt Spelling Bee will be held on Tuesday, December 10, at 9:00 a.m. in the high school auditorium.  Participants from 4th, 5th, and 6th grade will compete to become Roosevelt’s Spelling Champ. Family and friends of participants are welcome to attend.

CHRISTMAS IS ON IT’S WAY

Christmas will be here before we know it. If circumstances are difficult this year and you might need a little help, contact Ms. Augustine, the school nurse, at 330-530-8051 Ext 2006 or 2001. We hope you all have a happy and safe holiday season!

ATTENDANCE POLICY/TARDY STUDENTS

Please read the Roosevelt handbook regarding attendance for your children. The MISSING CHILD ACT requires parents to call the school to report your child off each day of absence. You may call any time before 8:15 a.m. and leave a voicemail.
