Criteria: The award is based on scholarship, leadership, initiative, and involvement in school and community activities; minimum 2.8 GPA; good character and respected by fellow students and faculty (three MT seniors will be selected to apply)

Criteria: African-American males in the WS/FC Schools with a minimum 2.7 weighted GPA and planning to attend a two-year or four-year college or university immediately upon graduation (top candidates will be selected for an interview to be conducted on May 19th or 20th)

PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE SCHOLARSHIP (STATE EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION)

Criteria: Eligible students are seniors at North Carolina traditional public high schools who have been accepted to one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina; student has demonstrated leadership, excellence of character, integrity, and community involvement; student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and deserving of financial aid

Award: One $10,000 scholarship (over 4 years)

2013 STUDENT-VIEW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

All seniors are eligible. Simply log on to student- and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area; scholarships will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications

Awards: 26 annual scholarships (13 merit-based, 13 financial need) for four-year college or university students

6 annual scholarships (3 merit-based, 3 financial need) for junior, community, or technical college students
