Position: Lecturer [231101]Department: Interior Design Ref: 20/246The Department of Interior Design in the Faculty of Arts and Design has a permanent position for a Lecturer at the Arts Campus.Minimum requirements:M-Tech Degree in Interior Design.Three years of teaching experience at tertiary level.Experience in, and ability to adopt use of, programs and applications to generate, communicate and share content digitally and online.Experience in study or application of African and decolonized theory.Other requirements:Proven active participation in research and publication is recommended.Core Functions Content development and teaching in the subjects of: Design Theory and Principles of Interior Design, History of Art and Interior Design, African Interior Design, Research Methods and Methodologies, Theory of Materials, Sustainable and Eco Design, and Technology Integration in Interior Design.Subject coordination, monitoring and management of student activities.Set and mark theory exam papers.Play an active role in curriculum development.Make a critical contribution to research and innovation within the subject field.Generate and uphold an academic publishing record.Supervision of Advanced Diploma students, and co-supervision of Postgraduate students.Generate statistics, schedules, development plans, and academic, progress and analytical reports within subject field.Contribute to the development of departmental and faculty flagship and community projects.Send your CV to: Recruitment5@tut.ac.zaEnquiries: Dr. Flip Du Toit Tel : (012) 382 6133Closing Date: 13 November 2020If we have not responded within a month of the closing date, you should regard your application as unsuccessful.
