Instructions on Setting Up a Fairfield University Gmail Account for an Android Phone This guide will assist you in linking your Fairfield Gmail account with your Android phone, so that

you receive emails directly to your phone's inbox.

1. Go to the "Settings" Menu. You can do this by either pressing the "Menu" button while on the home-screen or going to "Settings" app located in your applications drawer.

2. Scroll down until you see Accounts, and select this option. 3. On this screen, you will see a list of currently active accounts. You will

see options to "Sync" or "Add Account". Select "Add Account".

4. Here you will see a list of services that allow you to sync with your phone. Select "Google". Your phone will then prompt you to select from an existing or new account. Choose "Existing".

5. After doing this, you will be asked to enter your email address. On this screen you will enter your Fairfield email address and password. When you are done, select "Sign In" and your phone will connect to the account. When this process is complete, it will ask you if you want to sync your Fairfield Gmail contacts, calendar, or Gmail. You can choose which options you want, but make sure that "Sync Gmail" is checked or else you won't get you email on your phone. When finished, choose next.

6. Now that the process is complete, you can navigate to the Gmail app. By default, the app automatically shows your personal Gmail account. In order to show your Fairfield Gmail inbox, select "Inbox" and choose your Fairfield University email address. Now the inbox on your phone will show your Fairfield University emails, and will notify you when you receive new messages. You can easily switch between accounts by clicking your email on the top of the app and choosing a different inbox.
