Job Purpose:
Manages all aspects of Museum Services and is on the Director's Team at The Children's Museum, Seattle
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANS RESPONSIBILITIES:

STAFF AND VISITORS
Manage day to day operations
Establish, implement, and evaluate
of opening and closing the
SCM's safety, cleaning, and
museum
emergency policies and procedures
Resolve Customer Service
Manage Floor Manager in
questions and problems
cleaning & safety priorities
Implement Policy and
Continually monitor known
Procedures
problem areas
Track attendance and till sheet
Make recommendations to

Executive Director as needed for
updates and maintenance

UPDATES, COORDINATE
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE, AND
OPTHER EXHIBIT PROJECTS
Walk the museum Daily
Check in with staff
Assist Executive Director and
Assess exhibit updates, problem areas, current projects, and future needs
Museum Directors in exhibit updates through scheduling, researching, and organization
Organize temporary exhibit gallery
Continually monitor known
problem areas
Communicate facilities needs to
Facilities Manager and Seattle
Center
3. 10% MANAGE MUSEUM RETAIL STORE OPERATIONS

Manage inventory that aligns with mission and events
Manage ordering process, pricing, and inventory
Coordinate product display in Retail Shop
Explore and recommend new ideas to enhance the retail shop
PERFORM HR DUTIES
Build and maintain the schedule
Daily time keeping of Staff
Process Payroll and Payroll upkeep.
Assist in hiring process and paperwork as needed

Recruit, hire, and schedule
Meet weekly with Executive
Museum Services Staff
Director and Director's Team
Coach and train staff in quality
Stay up to date on SCM's goals,
Customer Service standards
vision, and updates
Meet with Floor Managers
Explore new opportunities of
weekly
value to SCM
Establish, implement, and
Assist with Special Events
evaluate employee recognition
Perform other duties as assigned

Equip staff to resolve customer
service problems
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: B.A. or Masters Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Three or more years of experience in a non-profit organization or education system; Teaching, training, and mentoring; Volunteer programs; Working with children ages 010 and their families; Working at an organization that provides services to at-risk families; and Customer Service and/or retail.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Communication, organization, and computer skills; Leadership and mentoring; Conflict resolution; Self-starter; lift minimum of 20 lbs.; CPR & First Aid Certified; Flexible; Team Player; Self-regulating with projects; and Sense of Humor.
