THE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD

The Baltimore City Workforce Investment Board Youth Council acting by and through the Baltimore City Office of Employment Development (OED) is requesting proposals to select vendors for in school youth workforce development services. The Workforce Investment Act of 1998 funds will compliment the support received by youth through the Department of Labor Youth Opportunity (YO) grant to provide services to Baltimore City youth living in non-Empowerment Zones Zones. The mission of the Youth Council is to integrate services to insure all youth 14-21 years of age are educated, have productive careers and become responsible family members and citizens. Services may include job readiness and placement, skills enhancement. etc. Priority will given to proposals that support the development of career development and job placement services for Baltimore City Public School System graduating seniors.

All organizations must attend a Bidders Conference to be held on November 6, 2002 at 3:00 p.m., 101 W. 24th Street, Room 100 to be eligible to submit a proposal. Please fax or e-mail all questions or concerns prior to the conference. Those interested in receiving an RFP Application should contact:
