7:50 - 8:00 am Welcome and Overview - Don Tragethon & Bruce Welden
8:00 - 8:50 am Not a Good Way To Die - Dr. Caroline Kennedy, Monterey County - Dr. Kennedy will review why ammonia is harmful to humans, the health effects experienced at different level of exposure and how to respond to minimize injury and avoid death.
8:50 - 9:40 am Neither is This - Cathi Marx, Aspen Environmental - Learn to recognize a dangerous situation in development. Situational awareness skills and a pre-considered plan to act can mean the difference between life and death in a violent workplace situation.
9:40 - 10:00 am Exhibitor Tent Break - Visit the exhibitor tables and enjoy coffee and other refreshments.
10:05 - 10:55 am Emergency Action Plan Enhancements Gary Smith, ASTI - On May 22nd we will train on how to engage the new Cal-OSHA required enhancements to the Emergency Action Plan (EAP). On May 23rd we will present the key points to successfully achieving the EAP enhancements. Gold & Platinum sponsors have the opportunity to send attendees to the training on May 22nd.
11:00 - 11:50 am Operators Challenge ? Russ Ramos, Air Treatment Corp. - An interactive presentation that can be used to learn (or to teach) your refrigeration system to others. The challenge can be used to demonstrate an understanding of "an overview of the process" that is required by regulation.
11:50 - 12:05 pm Cal OES Hazmat Vehicle - Chief Chuck Tobias, - Cal OES recognized a number of significant gaps in Haz Mat Team response times exceeding two hours. To address the issue, Cal OES has purchased and equipped 12 Type II Hazardous Materials Response Vehicles, two of the vehicles are assigned to local government fire departments in each of California's six Mutual Aid Regions.

AFTERNOON SESSIONS - MAIN AUDITORIUM
1:00 - 1:50 pm Are IIAR Standards Considered RAGEGAP's? - Clyde Trombettas with CalOSHA will discuss how his agency will address the use of SCBA's at facilities regulated under the PSM standard in the state of California.
1:50 - 2:40 pm The First Three Questions - Ken Fennema, Tolleson Fire Dept. - Having the answers to these three questions can simplify and streamline First Responder's initial interaction with your personnel as they arrive on-scene. You CAN do it.
MANAGEMENT SESSIONS - RODEO ROOM
1:00 - 1:50 pm Training Requirements - Gary Elk, Western Precooling & Eileen Woodbury, Woodbury Consulting - Employees, including co-tenants and contractors, must be trained for community and worker health & safety. We will provide an awareness of Local/State/ Federal agency training requirements.
1:50 - 2:40 pm DHS/CFATs - Paul Fields, Dept. of Homeland Security - Chemical security is a shared responsibility amongst government and private stakeholders. Learn more about chemical security regulations and the resources available to help keep your chemicals secure.
HANDS ON SESSIONS - TENTS ON MIDWAY
1:00 - 2:40 pm Hands On - Various Refrigeration Equipment Stations will be presented, including but not limited to; Oil Draining, Line Break and Back Pressure Regulators using different manufacturers products.
2:40 - 3:00 pm BREAK - Visit the exhibitor tables and enjoy coffee and other refreshments.
3:00 - 3:50 pm Las Vegas Cold Storage Release - Will Grass, Retired LVFD & ASTI - Las Vegas Fire Department attended an ammonia safety day for the first time. Hear how they applied the new information learned at a release a few weeks later.
3:50 pm - WRAP UP AND FINAL OPPORTUNITY RAFFLE DRAWING
