Job descriptionJob purposeProvides leadership and effective management to the GRES function within CountryProvide effective service and execution of the GRES functionKey responsibilitiesService and ExecutionProvides strategic leadership to the GRES function through researching and implementing the best practices to meet the customers’ needsDevelops and implements operational strategies and tactics by continuously analysing the GRES processes to ensure better management of the functionImplements continuous improvement initiatives in coordination with the Head Property & Premises and Head Country Operations with a view of ensuring efficient and effective functioning and high level of service within the GRES function. Where GRES will have administrative oversight, matrix with the Regional Head RoA Vendor Management and Procurement and Head RoA GRES will apply.Signs service level agreements (SLA’s) with the various customers through understanding of requirements and service level expectations to ensure that the GRES function continues to meet and exceed the customers’ expectationsEnsure execution of functions conform to legal, regulatory and industry standards and complianceIn cases where GRES provide additional administrative oversight for Procurement, the team under his supervision will, with accountability to procurement: Implement the procurement strategy and best practices set by the Group Vendor Management and Procurement at Head office into the country.Use of Group wide contract to reduce procurement expenditure.Align the country’s function process and standard to the Group’s process and standard for Procurement and GRES. Strategic DeliverablesReduce sundry spend to below agreed organisational objectives (Industry best practice).Deliver and create an automated demand planning and forecasting tool to influence reduced stock holding value/s and erratic buying.Reduce processing unit cost.Enhance buying & expediting process with improved communication to internal business partners.Deliver products catalogues (Client’s Self-Service tool) to improve customer experience. Tactical DeliverablesReduce reactive purchase orders.Reduce rework (PO amendment, errors on invoice, PO revision reference).Reduce RFQs by using frequently contracted vendors.Initiate catalogue clean-up, reduce supplier list, and improve vendor management.Up skill procurement staff so that staff can focus on professional buying.Execute continuous vendor verification and assessmentsCustomer and Business Partner Relationship ManagementIdentifies customer service expectations, applies SLAs in order to deliver an appropriate serviceInvestigates customers’ complaints and satisfaction levels with the GRES offerings through continuous interaction with various customers to ensure high service levels by GRES functionIn cases where GRES provide additional administrative oversight for Procurement, the team under his supervision will, with accountability to procurement: Hands on end-to-end professional buying of products and services required by business units to operate efficiently and effectively.Leading and ensuring that the buying process between the business units in the bank and Group Vendor Management and Procurement is efficient.Demand management for buying goods and services in the BankOversee and assist with optimising the specifications for products and services submitted by business units for category purchasingCollaborate with Group Vendor Management and Procurement at Head Office to optimise all the buying processes within the country’s procurement department.To reduce risks to the Bank by measuring compliance to procurement policies and adherence to
