Objectives:

1. This assignment will give you the opportunity to receive constructive feedback and comments from each other about your lesson plan (s).

2. This assignment allows all students an additional opportunity to strengthen their planning of lessons in science and mathematics.

3. Additionally, this assignment allows students to practice giving and receiving feedback that is constructive, intentional and ultimately strengthens the vehicle that is front and center in all teaching: the lesson plan.

BOT Rationale and Evidence: This assignment, with modification, may become one of your artifacts for your seminar portfolio.

What will I do when I peer review a lesson?

Use the following rubric to guide you in your comments. This will be sent to you electronically so that you can copy and paste the rubric into the lesson plan that you review. This entire assignment is meant to be electronic. You will receive the lesson for feedback and review via e-mail on the day of peer teaching. Your reviewed lesson with comments and rubric is sent to the person above with a copy to Michele. Comments and feedback will be made electronically using the “track changes” feature of Microsoft word. Completed review is to be returned to the student indicated above by April 3 (5 pm). This review is also sent by e-mail attachment to Michele.

Grading for this assignment is based on your review of a lesson plan by your colleague, not on the lesson plan that you have authored.
