ARTICULATION AGREEMENT

and

Pennsylvania College of Technology

Emergency Management Technology, B.S.

I. PURPOSE This agreement establishes a mechanism for graduates of the SUNY Broome Community College, Homeland Security, A.S. major to transfer specific earned credits into the Emergency Management Technology, B.S. degree at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

II. GOALS A. To provide a well-defined mechanism for graduates of the Homeland Security at SUNY Broome Community College to begin the B.S. in Emergency Management Technology at Pennsylvania College of Technology at the appropriate entry point. B. To recruit associate-degree graduates whose career goals include acquisition of a baccalaureate degree.

Ill. AGREEMENT BENEFITS A. Coursework fulfilled through credit-by-exam, prior learning assessment, work/life experience, CLEP, and/or College Board's Advanced Placement and applied to the graduation requirements for the Homeland Security program at SUNY Broome Community College will be accepted for transfer if course fulfills baccalaureate degree requirements at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Credits applied for the Students Occupationally and Academically Ready (SOAR) program or Program of Study (POS) to fulfill graduation requirements at SUNY Broome Community College will be accepted as equivalent credits to coursework articulated in this agreement. B. Students may apply up to two years prior to expected enrollment at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Upon payment of tuition deposit, students will be afforded the opportunity to access Penn College advisors and additional Pennsylvania College of Technology resources.

IV. TRANSFER AND ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS Pennsylvania College of Technology will accept SUNY Broome Community College graduates into the Emergency Management Technology major if they meet the following requirements and adhere to the Admission Procedures (Part V). Page 1 of 7

A. SUNY Broome Community College applicants must have a final cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. Accreditation or discipline requirements may require that all courses eligible for transfer be completed with a "C" or higher.

B. Students must complete a minimum of 36 credits at Pennsylvania College of Technology for coursework prescribed in the final four semesters of the student's baccalaureate profile.

C. Students transferring to Pennsylvania College ofTechnology are eligible and will be considered for scholarship opportunities the same as currently enrolled students. Students must meet the application deadlines for scholarships for the fall and spring enrollment. Student must have paid tuition deposit to be eligible.

D. Pennsylvania College ofTechnology will only consider those credits earned through SUNV Broome Community College. Students must request transcripts from additional institutions to be evaluated on an individual basis at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

V. ARTICULATED COURSES AND PROGRAM SPECIFICS

A. For those students who meet the Transfer Requirements (Part IV), course equivalencies based on SUNY Broome Community College associate degree program will be applied to Pennsylvania College of Technology's graduation requirements as reflected in Appendix A.

VI. ADMISSION PROCEDURES A. Individual must submit a completed Application for Admission. Application fees are waived when submitted online. B. Applicant must provide an official transcript of all college course work. c. The student's academic profile, a prescribed course sequence for completion of a specific major, will be provided after official evaluation of all transfer credit. The academic profile will determine graduation requirements.

VII. SIGNATURES This articulation agreement has been reviewed and approved by those indicated on the signature page. A representative from each institution will inform the other party of any curriculum changes, which will then be reviewed to re-establish this agreement. This agreement is effective the date signed and will be reviewed annually by the host institution. Either institution may terminate the agreement by notifying the other party.
