Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician prepares packages and distributes medications in a fast-paced production environment. Maintains continuous, consistent work flow in order to meet daily production goals. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:% TIME?Operates and manipulates automated machinery as trained to assemble prescriptions as required20%?Reads computer generated screens to find indicated merchandise on labeled shelves, verify size and strength of the product before selecting order10%?Inventories cycle counts of each medication to maintain inventory10%?Performs cleaning and maintenance on all work areas5%?Counts or pours pharmaceuticals5%?Places pharmaceutical products in appropriate containers and affixes labels to containers in Bulk5%?Monitors prescription inventory for expired pharmaceuticals5%?Maintains the floor in a clean and orderly condition5%?Receives and stores incoming supplies5%?Assists in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory5%?Folds and packs paperwork with prescriptions to prepare for shipping5%?Sorts orders by store location and places in totes for shipping5%?Verifies paperwork with received items from DC5%?Separates product by lot numbers and expiration dates5%?Performs other duties as assigned5%Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.?One (1) year of experience in Pharmacy required.Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations? Other, PTCB Certified required? Other, NJ Registration requiredLanguage SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, general business periodicals, operating and maintenance instructions/procedure manuals. Can speak effectively to customers. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw, and interpret bar graphs.
