Uploading Photos

Attach Photos on Yahoo! E-mail

1. Sending photos with your e-mail messages is now really easy! For example, in the address box, type: yahoo.ca (to access the web-based e-mail service provided by Yahoo!)

2. Click on Mail (right-hand side)

3. Register for an account by clicking Sign Up (bottom of screen)

4. If you have an account, enter the Yahoo! ID and Password

5. If you are a Hotmail or Gmail user, simply sign in with your e-mail user ID and password. Once signed in, click to compose a new message. In Yahoo! Mail, click on the drop down menu button next to New

6. Select Email Message to compose a new message

7. Click on Attach to add a picture along with your message

8. A small window will pop up. Find the file where you stored it on your computer and select it. For example, it may be on your Desktop or on your C Drive

9. Click on Open to attach the file

10. Add a recipient’s email address in the To field, a subject line (optional), a message and click Send

Upload Photos on Flickr

1. Go to , an online photo management and sharing tool. In other words, you can have an online photo album where you can share pictures with your friends and family

2. Click on Create Your Account button

3. Register for a Yahoo! Email account (since Flickr is a part of Yahoo! Mail)

4. If already registered, type in your Yahoo! ID and Password to sign in

5. Choose your new Flickr screen name (this can be different from your Yahoo! ID and you can change it at any time)

6. Click on Upload Photos & Video (right-hand side)

7. Click on Choose Photos and Videos and find the file that you want from your computer, select it and click on Open

8. Add tags to label or describe the photo(s) by keyword, subject and/or name (optional). For example, a picture of a pet dog (beagle being the breed) can be described with the following tags: “dog”, “pet”, “beagle”, etc.

9. Select the radio button for Private (only the people you invite can view them) or Public (searchable and viewable by everyone on Flickr)

10. Click on UPLOAD when you are done

*Note: that you may upload six photos or videos at the same time

Upload Photos on Facebook

[pic] is a free social networking site (SNS) that allows you to connect and share with friends and family. Facebook allows you to create a personal profile that include personal interests, affilita tions/networks, pictures and anything else you would like to share with your “friends” – people you have agreed to be added as friends to your profile. Once you establish an account or profile, you can update it as often as you like, add or change pictures or update your status information like a diary-like entry for your friends to see. Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends, upload an unlimted number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.

To upload a photo to a Wall:

1. In the address box, type:

2. Register for an account (please see above)

3. Log in with your Email Address and enter your Password

4. On the Home Page, click inside the text box What’s On Your Mind? This will allow you to change your status as well as post content to your wall. A menu will pop down with a list for attachments

5. Click on the double squares icon which is the Photos icon

6. Select the +Upload a Photo From Your Drive link

7. Then select Browse

8. Find the picture that you want to upload, from your computer, and select it

9. Click on the Open button

10. Then click on the Share blue button

11. Type in a photo caption/description (optional) to share with your friends

To upload multiple photos into a photo album:

1. Once signed into your Facebook account, click on Profile at the top right blue bar next to Settings. Here, you will access your Profile page.

2. Select the Photos tab to create a new photo album

3. Click on +Create a Photo Album (right-hand side)

4. Fill in the form (album name, location, description and privacy where you can select who can see the album). When ready, select Create Album

5. Then click on the Add Photos tab, select Simple Uploader

6. Click on Browse

7. Select the picture that you want from your computer and click on Open. Repeat the steps (if you need to) to upload more photos

8. Finally click on the checkbox “I certify that I have the right to distribute these photos and that they do not violate the T.O.U.”

9. Choose Publish Now if you are ready or Save Changes to add more photos

10. To share this photo album, highlight the URL/web address and give it to your friends. Otherwise, your Facebook friends (whom you have selected to view the album) will see your photos
