RMDIAI Photo Contest Rules

Three competition categories

• Technical Law Enforcement: This category includes all forensic photos from scenes or lab situations illustrating unusual patterns, evidence, etc.

• General Law Enforcement: All the rest of police related photos. PR, general interest, special unit activity, etc.

• General Interest / Open: All non-law enforcement photos. This includes scenic/landscape, still life, sports/action, family, etc. If it’s your favorite photo, enter it in the open category.

• Masters: This category is only for previous grand prize winners. Previous grand prize winners are only eligible to enter in this category and may not submit entries in any other category. This is an open category for any type of photograph.

Contest Rules:

1. All photos must be taken by the person exhibiting the photo.

2. Images must be submitted in digital .jpeg format.

3. Photos may be color or black & white and may be “processed” using any photographic enhancement software such as Adobe Photoshop.

4. The competition is open to RMD-IAI members in good standing only.

5. Limit of two entries per category per competitor.

6. Members must be in attendance at the conference to enter.

7. Only members in attendance at the conference may vote.

The photos will be displayed in a digital slide show prior to the Thursday banquet. Voting will close one half hour after the beginning of the banquet. Ballots will be counted at that time and winners will be announced.

Submit photos to j4fulton@ and include photographer’s name, category, and information about the photo. Photos can be submitted anytime from now until one half hour before the Thursday banquet.
