Remember – all meals with the exception of breakfasts are your responsibility)?Clothing – clean, comfortable, and good casual. Jeans should be fairly neat looking (no holes or graffiti on them). Don’t bring too much clothing as you are only permitted one bag on the bus, and one larger suitcase in the luggage compartment. ?Bring comfortable walking shoes – remember that we will be doing a fair amount of walking outdoors and indoors.?Entertainment (for the bus ride) – bring IPods, video games, DVD’s, cards, etc. – but remember that you are ultimately responsible for any lost or stolen items on this trip. ?You might also consider bringing a small pillow for sleeping on the bus – it will be a long ride!?Food – bring some snacks for both the bus ride and for walking around (you cannot bring fruit or meat across the border). Granola bars make great portable snacks, chips or pretzels for the bus.?Camera – if you choose to bring a potable camera, ensure you have extra batteries, or have charged it before you leave. If it is digital, ensure you have enough memory available to take lots of pictures!what to prepare in the days leading up to the trip:?Communicate to your teachers that you will be away – ask how you can keep up?Exchange Canadian money to American – check exchange rates in the next couple of weeks to find the best time to do this?Arrange with your cell phone provider a data plan/texting plan for the U.S. (most providers offer packages text/data – ex. TELUS offers 100 text messages and 50Mb of U.S. data for approx. $25)?ENSURE YOU ARE SIGNED UP ON REMIND 101 – this will be essential for us to communicate while we are away.
