Push the piston all the way down into the bore until bottomed. Turn assembly upside down and I use a wooden prop to hold piston in the bottomed position. The prop also supports the entire assembly. Apply light grease or Vaseline to both halves of the connecting rod assembly as shown before inserting the piston. ................
