Role Description – Corporate Community FundraiserJob Title: Corporate Community FundraiserResponsible to: Corporate Partnerships OfficerFull Time Salary:?21,416 rising on a scale ?23,181 (role is pro rata for 3 days/22.5 hours per week)Contract: Permanent ContractMain purpose of role: Reporting directly to the Corporate Partnerships Officer, the CCF will help Fresh Start develop partnerships with corporate supporters, community groups and maximise income opportunities through a variety of different mediums. The CCF will develop robust, long term relationships with partners and assist them to identify maximum use of their corporate social responsibility to create an environment that offers added value to all of Fresh Start’s services and developments.Main Duties & TasksCorporate EngagementBuild and nurture productive working relationships with existing corporate partners taking responsibility for an individual account portfolio as assigned by the CPO. Identify prospective new corporate partners through research and networking as assigned by the CPO. Generate ideas and contribute to discussions around different ways that corporate organisations can support Fresh Start with changes to services as they evolve. Proactively develop long-term relationships to:Provide volunteering opportunities for corporate staff.Provide resources to corporate partners to hold office-based collections of goods and organise collections of these goods.Support corporate partners to fundraise or donate money to Fresh Start. This may include some evening and weekend working to support our partners at their fundraising events.Encourage corporate partners to participate in Fresh Start fundraising events e.g. The Kilt Walk.Draw on pro-bono corporate partner expertise to meet Fresh Start’s organisational needs,Please note there will be some disruption to this element of the work due to the ongoing impact of COVID 19, but targets and expectations will be adjusted to take this into account. Maximise income from community and individual givingTake responsibility for partner relationships as assigned by the CPO:Co-ordinate awareness of Fresh Start’s work with a focus on fundraising, across key groups identified – schools, universities, other community groups and individuals.Develop a calendar of fundraising events that these organisations, groups, individuals and corporate partners can take part in.Co-ordinate and communicate regarding all aspects of these events.Support our supporters in all aspects of these events.Provide support to groups and individuals to carry out their own fundraising events.Establish and maintain relationships with organisations with goods to dispose of for re-use purposes [e.g., hotels, student accommodation providers, restaurant chains] and organise collections of anise and deliver annual Christmas present appeal to help families on low incomes drawing on corporate and community supporters.Create and deliver key and innovative fundraising campaigns including online giving.Volunteer ManagementTake responsibility for recruitment of corporate volunteers from the partners you have responsibility for and support their participation in Fresh Start volunteering municate expectations for both Fresh Start and the corporate supporters internally and externally.Ensure all Health and Safety / risk assessments have been carried out and appropriate members notified.Arrange and co-ordinate corporate volunteering meetings with delivery staff.Support the delivery of corporate volunteering days.Contribute to the development of volunteer management practice and policies.Contribute to the development and delivery of new volunteering opportunities.Trust and ApplicationsPrepare and submit targeted funding applications primarily those being submitted to Corporate Trusts and Foundations. CommunicationsIn partnership with the Business Manager Contribute to the implementation of the communication strategy so that it is fit for purpose with our corporate and community supporters.Contribute copy for our social media, eshots and web updating.Maintain and track progress on the communications calendar.Monitoring and EvaluationMaintain records of contacts, activities and enquiries in the Fresh Start database.Produce data and information for quarterly reports.Support the CPO in the implementing monitoring & evaluation methods.ConditionsThe post will initially be partially home based with laptop and phone supplied and partially based at our warehouse/offices at 22-24 Ferry Road Drive, Edinburgh. The post is for 22.5 hours per week. Employees are afforded a degree of flexibility as to how they complete their contracted hours within a working week, however, you should be present and working between the core hours of 09.30 – 16.30. The earliest an employee may start is 08.00 and the latest finish time is 18.00, unless prior agreement has been made with your line manager. Therefore, you may start your working day between 08.00 – 09.30 and finish it between 16.30 – 18.00.Ideally, we would like this postholder to work Monday to Wednesday to dovetail with the Corporate Partnership Officer. The full-time salary for the role is ?21,416 rising on a scale ?23,181 (the salary will be calculated on a pro rata basis for 3 days/22.5 hours per week)Fresh Start run a contributory pension scheme, which staff are encouraged to join following successful completion of the probationary period.
