Process to mail bulk mail using Non-profit stamps
Process to mail bulk mail using Non-profit stamps
1- Affix 5 cents stamps in the envelopes.
2- Complete the Postage Statement-Nonprofit Standard Mail Easy-Nonautomation Letters or Flats
3- Complete the Mailer information, including the telephone number, name, address.
4- Complete the Mailing part and check on the Precanceled Stamps box, mailing date, letters, and permit No. MT 64363.
5- In Part D Machinable (regular envelopes), fill out the number of pieces in D5 DSCF(for Zip Codes 100, 101, 102 only) and D3 DBMC (For the rest of Zip Codes in NY). Total it up next to the D3 or D5.
6- Add up the sum of the total of each box (D3 and D5) in the Part D Subtotal.
7- Complete the # of envelopes X 0.05 (in case is affixed to the envelopes as stamps). That will bring the total of Postage Affixed.
8- The Net Postage Due is the Part D subtotal minus the Postage Affixed, which will be paid with our 2nd permit AD 3144. AD 3144 has to be written next to the Net Postage Due.
9- As a last step, don’t forget to sign, print name and the phone number of the person mailing the envelopes. It could be anyone.
10- Bring the bulk mail to the Post Office from 11-4 pm M-F and put the envelopes in one of the Post Office trays without rubber bands or any other separation. The only package that has to be slightly separated from the rest of the mail is the ones going to Zip Codes different from 100, 101, or 102.
That would complete the process.
