However, as this service has not been available previously under other Medicaid programs, a new contract template had to be developed for non-Medicaid contracted home care agencies and home cleaning businesses.WHAT’S NEW, CHANGED, OR CLARIFIED:A new contract template for Housework and Errands services has been developed in collaboration with AAA contract managers, ALTSA HQ program managers and Washington Association of Area Agencies on Aging (W4A) members. The contract includes the following three sub-codes:Light Housework (1062SS)Errands (1063SS)Heavy Housework (1061SS)A provider may choose any combination of the three sub-codes when contracting with the AAA.The contract template has been loaded into the Agency Contracts Database (ACD). The Medicaid contractor application will be added to the ALTSA internet and is also attached.ACTION:AAA contract managers may begin using the provider application and contract with Housework and Errands service providers. This includes home cleaning businesses and licensed home care agencies who do not already have a Medicaid Personal Care contract. After a contract has been executed with a provider, the AAA GetCare administrator will need to have the appropriate service set entered into Community Living Connections (CLC) GetCare in order to authorize these services for a MAC or TSOA client. AAAs will use the Issue Manager process to request the service set addition into CLC GetCare for their area. Case managers: before creating an authorization for heavy housework the provider will need to tell you how many workers will be used daily to complete the work as the rate used to authorize services depends on the number of workers (one, two or three). See attached Service Code Data Sheet (SCDS) for Heavy Housework for the rates.RELATED REFERENCES:ATTACHMENT(S):Attached are the following templates: sample contract, Service Code Data Sheets for Light Housework & Errands (SA392) and Heavy Housework (SA392,U1), and the H&E Application for Potential Contractors \s \s \s \sCONTACT(S):Debbie Johnson, MTD Program ManagerDebbie.Johnson2@dshs.360-725-2531Adrienne Cotton, MAC/TSOA Program ManagerAdrienne.Cotton@dshs.360-725-3292Paula Renz, Program Manager/AAA SpecialistPaula.Renz@dshs.360-725-2560 ................
