|Job Purpose |

|To project manage the delivery of projects across the TEE Service and support the Lead Project Officers in the delivery of large or complex projects. |

|Working with the Head of Projects and relevant in-house and external expertise to deliver projects. Provide a range of project and technical support as |

|part of the project management role. |

|Job Context |

|Act as a Project Manager in the delivery of smaller or less complex projects utilising the PRINCE 2 methodology, ensuring projects are delivered to |

|agreed time and budget targets. |

|Assist and support the Senior Project Officers and Head of Projects to deliver complex or large projects. |

|In particular, (depending upon role of 1 or 2 above) |

|Lead the production and delivery of project working documents. |

|Develop/assist Project planning; tracking progress against the critical path; |

|Manage/Assist in the co-ordination of internal or external advisors. |

|Manage/Assist with the Risk management process |

|Manage/Assist in monitoring the Budgets (Capital and Revenue) for each project |

|Maintain document control procedures, including all project files for each project. |

|Assist with the completion of reports and presentations relevant to each project. |

|Where appropriate provide technical advice to various projects. |

|To co-ordinate dissemination of information on progress of the Project to stakeholders. |

|To liaise with other service units in the Council and external organisations on the implications of the Project(s). |

|Job Purpose |

|Project manage complex new and/or existing projects across the TEE Service and identified Corporate Projects. Working with the Head of Projects and |

|relevant in-house expert officer/teams to deliver the Projects. To work closely and manage external specialist support where appropriate. |

|Job Context |

|Working closely with the Head of Projects as the senior responsible officer for projects to act as specialist Project Manager within Complex/Major |

|Projects ensuring that the projects are delivered on time and to budget, in particular: |

|Lead the technical production and delivery of project working documents such as Issues logs, Communications Plan and Work Stage Plans. |

|Lead project planning, tracking progress against the critical path to ensure that the project is delivered to the agreed quality, time and budget. |

|Commission all the necessary works to deliver the project in accordance with project board instructions |

|Develop and maintain quality records for the outputs of the project |

|Compile, update and present the Risk Management Register to Project Boards, Service and Corporately. |

|Provide regular Highlight reports to the Project Boards and other relevant parties |

|Maintain and disseminate Lessons Learned during the progress of the project |

|To liaise with and co-ordinate the work of the in-house specialist teams and external specialist advisors to meet the approved timetable for delivery |

|contracts. |

|Monitor and manage the budget for the identified projects to ensure that they are within the agreed levels and report any likely deviation. |

|To manage and co-ordinate the document control procedures, including all project files and preparation of accurate records and minutes of the contract |

|procurement process up and until contract implementation of the long-tem contract. |

|Respond to and investigate complex enquiries / unresolved problems / escalated complaints. |

|To liaise with other service units in the Council and external and partner organisations on the implications of the Project(s). |

|To manage all communications for the project, liaise with local and cabinet members, relevant partners and stakeholders |

|To behave commercially with an appropriate balance between delivering value for money and risk. To represent the business unit and winning new business |
