Additional Project Information:

A new container terminal is being constructed near Puerto Mo?n in Costa Rica. The 36 ha container yard will be constructed in three phases of which the construction stage of the initial phase (phase 2A) commenced early 2015.

The soil improvement works in the

600 m wharf structure include 2

diferent scopes. Densification of the

dredged fill and native soil with vibro

replacement by means of stone

columns installation in a 40m fringe

behind the wharf, tug boat area and 2

administration

building

and

stabilization of the slope underlaying

and adjacent to the wharf with cement

soil mixing panels.

The top 3m of all reclamation fill placed at site was compacted by means of high energy impact compaction.
