?Qu? es el Verbo To Be y qu? significa?

Este verbo es una palabra que en presente tiene dos significados SER y ESTAR (solo trabajaremos la forma presente de este verbo). Para ejemplificar sus dos 2 significados observa los siguientes ejemplos:

o Example 1: I am from Chile / Soy de Chile

o Example 2: I am in Chile / Estoy en Chile

Explicaci?n:

Let's remember the pronouns I (siempre en may?scula) = Yo You = T? He = ?l She = Ella It = Eso ? esa (animal, cosa, lugar) We = Nosotros (as) You = Ustedes They = Ellos (as)

La explicaci?n parece obvia pero no lo es. En el ejemplo 1, el significado del verbo en la oraci?n es SOY, el cual se relaciona con el significado SER. Por otro lado, en el ejemplo 2 el significado es ESTOY, esto lo relaciona con el verbo ESTAR.

La consecuencia de lo anterior es que debes tener siempre presente los dos significados. Si quieres decir en ingl?s: Ella es bonita (SER) o Ella est? muy feliz, a pesar de que son verbos diferentes en espa?ol (SER y ESTAR), en ingl?s debes usar una sola forma (TO BE).

*Ten presente que este verbo se llama TO BE, pero al conjugarlo en presente cambia a sus 3 formas que son AM, IS y ARE.
