SMUS Middle School Supply List

All students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 require the following general supplies to start the year. Once students have met with their individual teachers, additional items may be required.

? 1 x 3 inch zip folder binder (provided by the Middle School) ? 1 x 1 inch binder ? 1 x 1 inch binder with pocket (all Grade 6 and Mandarin students in Grade 7 and 8 only) ? 1 duo tang (Grade 7 and 8 Com. Skills students only) ? 1 homework folder (recommended) ? 1 pack of lined paper ? 10-12 dividers ? 1 pencil case ? 10 HB pencils ? 2 blue or black pens ? 2 red pens ? 1 thin tipped black sharpie ? 1 highlighter pen ? 2 fat dry erase pens ? 2 erasers ? 1 sharpener ? 1 30 cm ruler ? 1 pair of scissors* ? 4 glue sticks* ? Coloured pencil crayons* ? 1 scientific calculator ? 1 protractor ? 1 set of personal earbuds (earbuds or headphones with microphone recommended for Grade 7 and 8

Computer Science students) ? 1 mouse (optional)

Art Supply List (required for all students) ? Sketching pencil set with a range from at least 6B to 2H ? White, soft rubber erasers (2 minimum)

Other Supplies The school will provide exercise books for Math and Science, as well as a notebook for Grade 8 Humanities. A school agenda is provided at no cost to students. If an agenda needs to be replaced, the cost is billed to the student's account.

Lockers Locks for student lockers are not required this year. We strongly recommend a shelf for the locker to help organize books and belongings.

Please label items clearly with your first and last name. Supplies may be reused from year to year and some will need to be replenished, as necessary, during the year.
