Role of Finance Branch The Finance Branch is responsible for ensuring financial governance and functions to facilitate the integration between core business delivery and the Mint's intended outcomes as agreed with the Government and implements control mechanisms for the Mint's financial business processes.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the FB. The Branch has three sections: Financial Operations and Governance, Financial Reporting and Management Accounting.

Financial Operations and Governance Section The Financial Operations and Governance section is responsible for the provision of financial operations support to the Mint including accounts payable and receivable, banking services, cash management and travel. The section is also responsible for the Mint's financial governance and control functions and provides contract and procurement management services to Mint staff.

Individual role within the team and under general direction:

Process invoices and credit notes in accordance with the PGPA Act 2013 legislation and relevant Mint policy and procedures using the financial information system Epicor

Issue Cabcharges for Mint staff and manage the Cabcharge Register and acquittals Assist with the preparation of month and year end accounting processes including review

and reconciliations of relevant general ledger accounts. Work with line areas to correct any issues Manage Debtors' accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date, and follow up when necessary Undertake on a weekly and/or as required basis, the payment run in accordance with the Mint's policy and procedures Review monthly all credit card acquittals and process the journal to recognise the credit card charges Assist the Accounts Receivable Officer as required including with receipting, reconciliations, aged debt analysis reports and Armaguard cash collections
