Student PlanThe RMC-student is a highly active student throughout her education career. She was involved in various activities while still scoring above average on high-stakes testing. She is ambitious and helpful by being a mentor in High School for incoming freshman. The RMC-student did a lot of international traveling. During High School she did a trip to Spain. In addition, to traveling the RMC-student played the violin from 6 years old to 9th grade. She also played golf; starting at 8 years old she was qualified in state level golf. She was a four year winner making the top ten each year. At the Yegan Golf Club, she taught children how to play golf. She received scholarships due to her achievements in golf. She is from a family of three and her brother is adopted. Both her parents had higher education and are classified as average SES. She never moved and spent grades K-6 in the same school and she had no movement during High School. Using NWEA scores, her scores mainly increased. From September 2003 through September 2007 her language results gained 20 points. From September 2003 through September 2007 her reading results gained 21 points. From September 2003 through April 2006 her mathematic results gained 31 points. However, April 2007 through September 2007 her middle school math results decreased by 2 points. In fourth grade, the RMC-student took ITBS for language, math, reading, science, and social studies. For language, reading, and social studies she scored “very high”. For math and science she scored “above average”. At the start of 9th grade her lexile score was 1325 and by the end of 9th grade she increased her lexile to 1332 (7 points). However, at the start of 10th grade her lexile was 1251, resulting in a decrease from the end of ninth grade (81 points). In eighth grade the RMC-student had a little difficulty keeping her GPA increasing. Her GPA never dropped below a 3.0, but from Q2 of 8th grade all the way to S1 of 9th grade her cumulative and term GPA decreased. Other test scores showed a decrease in grades during her transition from eighth grade to ninth grade. After viewing all her testing scores, one can see overall she is a motivated student, but she does sometimes have some struggles. It is believed that Guapo is a member of the evil genius group, the Mathemagicians. From what the detectives have gathered thus far from the previous thefts, the Mathemagicians are building a world conquering device. Fortunately, Guapo has left behind a trail of notes and a cryptic text message that he has told us will calculate toward his favorite number. Thus far there are six suspects that police have questioned. It is hoped that someone with a relatively strong number sense can crack some codes that have puzzled the detectives on the case so far. Your job is to bring Guapo to justice and save the planet. Since you are being brought in as a specialist you have to have definitive proof in order for any arrest to hold up in court. You need to be prepared to state your case and demonstrate your understanding of the following skills that Guapo is known to use in her/his notes.
