Research, Evaluation?and Member Support?Coordinator?Salary range$35,000 to $50,000?Job purpose??The Data Analyst and?Member?Support?position?provides ongoing administrative assistance and?data?support to the Research and Evaluation Member?Support Coordinator and other ACWS staff as assigned.?This position is responsible for member support?with respect to data entry and reporting using the ACWS’s?common database.?Internally this position?also supports the?ACWS’s?internal?Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System?in data entry and?database administration. This position requires an individual who enjoys working with the data and databases, can work as part of a team, collaborate with colleagues and take action to promote a positive team climate.??Duties and responsibilities??Data Analysis and Reporting?The Data and Member Support position assists ACWS leadership and delegated staff to collect information being gathered by ACWS’s common database and analyze data trends in shelter usage, client needs, and services. Examples of key related activities include:??Making complex and large datasets understandable and accessible to a variety of internal and external stakeholders;Identifying data patterns and trends;Pulling aggregate data?reports and?ensuring data fidelity;??Designing user-centered dashboards that answer questions being posed by end users, are intuitive for entry level dashboard users, and that clearly present data in ways that are accessible to target audiences;?Continuously improve data visualization and reporting to stakeholders by staying updated on industry trends and best practices; andCommunicating the above to appropriate ACWS staff??Database Customization and Reports?This position assists ACWS delegated staff to better support member organizations in the customization of their data collection and reporting processes to meet additional shelter-specific needs for data and outcome reporting using?ACWS’s database. Examples of key activities include:?Providing basic assistance to member organizations on how the database may be used to gather data, analyze data and reporting for other shelter-specific data analysis?and reporting?needs;??Supporting ACWS delegated staff in addressing customization needs that are?identified;?andWorking with?the Research, Evaluation and Member Support Coordinator?to prepare the annual data release?Providing?Ongoing?Member?Support?This position is the primary support offered by ACWS to staff of member organizations, with respect to using?the ACWS common database?(Outcome Tracker).?This position also supports member updates, including the?compilation of?member contact information?and?membership renewals.?Examples of key related activities include:?On boarding new users to?ACWS’s?shared data collection?system and web-based resources;?Responding to calls and email inquiries from shelter staff regarding how to use the?database;??Assist in training and coaching of?shelter staff?in use?of?the database;?Troubleshooting?and providing technical support?to assist shelters using?ACWS’s database and accessing ACWS web-based resources;?Assisting member organizations to contribute and update the ACWS?Customer Relationship Management (CRM)?system;?and Assisting member organizations to complete the?membership renewal process?Administrative support?As a member of the?ACWS?support team, this position will also provide:?Day to day administrative support services as assigned: could include coding and filing materials, backing-up electronic files,?scheduling meetings, organizing logistics, taking notes, transcribing action plans, ensuring overall cleanliness and functioning of the ACWS office;Communications with members: sending out & tracking electronic or paper communications related to?data and member support?activities;Record management: maintaining communications files on electronic platforms including but not limited to Teams, SharePoint, etc., and any physical files or materials related to communications;Member Support: conducting online and telephone?communications?and compiling information on items related to?members, membership renewal and?data collection;?andClerical support: Photocopying, collating, data entry, basic IT support, letter writing, etc. as requested by?the Research, Evaluation and Member Support Coordinator??Required SkillsThe successful candidate will have the following skills: Well-developed administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detailEffectively gathers, synthesizes, integrates and interprets multi-faceted information from a wide range of sources and perspectives??Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to carry out multiple projects at one time and manage concurrent deadlinesAn aptitude for dealing effectively with people at all organizational levelsAbility to work independently with limited supervision and effectively set prioritiesHave strong problem-solving and communication?skills??Will exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality?Completes projects in a manner that produces quality and timely resultsQualifications??The successful candidate will have: Relevant post-secondary education related to data analysis? 2-3 years?of?experience working with databases in a professional environmentKnowledge of not for profit organizations and domestic violenceCore CompetenciesThe preferred candidate will:??Be skilled in the use?and design?of?database platforms?Demonstrate strong knowledge of database architecture?and data?modelling??Be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and its applications (e.g. SharePoint) Has experience?in the development and use of?a?CRM system such as?Kintone?Enjoy contributing to the success of a team and project?deliverables??Enjoy variety in their work tasks and?responsibilities??Be experienced in using?Power BI or another data?visualization?software such as Tableau ?Working conditions??The?Data?Analyst?and Member Support position?will work?primarily from the ACWS office.?Hours of work are?7.5?hours per day, Monday to Friday, during regular office hours (8:30 - 4:30).???Physical requirements??This position requires spending significant periods of time working at a computer and talking on the telephone?or video calls.???Direct reports??This position has no direct reports.???VersionDecember 18, 2020 ................
