Job Title: Special Events Coordinator

Western Woman’s Legal Education and Action Fund is a non-profit charity that works to advance women’s equality through public legal education, advocating law reform and conducting equality rights litigation court.

Duties/Responsibilities:

To provide organizational and administrative support for the annual fundraising breakfast including:

• Volunteer management, advertising, sales, and promotions

• Develop mail-outs for item solicitation and organize silent auction

• Coordination of and administrative support for ticket sellers

• Assist in writing letters of thanks, receipting and post event follow-ups

• General office duties in the absence of the Office Coordinator

• Liaise with sponsors, donors and event partners

• Track revenue from the event, including ticket sales and silent auction revenue

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and desktop publishing

• Ability to work independently

• A self-starter with initiative, enthusiasm and creativity

• Willingness to work in a diverse, feminist environment

• Previous event coordination experience will be an asset

• Experience coordinating volunteers and/or managing staff

• Experience with customer service/donor relations would be an asset
