Install, Connect & Authorize

Installing Litmos into your Org

Locate the "Litmos LMS - Learning Management System for Salesforce" app on the Salesforce AppExchange at appexchange. and click the "Get it Now" button.

Once "Get it Now" is clicked, the next step will be to log into the AppExchange. This can only be performed if you have permission to install app packages into your Salesforce Org. Litmos recommends that this step is performed by a Salesforce System Administrator, to ensure that the install permissions are of the highest level.

Once logged into the AppExchange, there will be an option to install Litmos into a production Salesforce Org or a sandbox Salesforce Org.

Litmos recommends that a Litmos sandbox account is installed and connected to a Salesforce sandbox Org, so that the installation, configuration, customization, and deployment of the Litmos app can be tested and validated in the sandbox Org environment before connecting a production Litmos account to the Salesforce production Org. It is essential that two parallel integration environments are established, one for testing and one for live production. Your production Litmos account should only be connected to your production Salesforce Org, and never connected to the sandbox Org. Litmos will only connect properly with one Salesforce Org, so the Litmos sandbox account that is connected to the Salesforce sandbox Org is a completely separate integration connection. Review the terms and conditions, and then click "Confirm and Install!" to proceed.

Next, the System Administrator will select which Salesforce Profiles will have permission to access the Litmos app package's components, objects, tabs, Visualforce pages and more.

The most secure way to install the Litmos app is for "Admins Only", but the easiest way to install the Litmos app is for "All Users". Please review these Application Installation Guide details to learn more about what each option offers, and be sure to review these details with your CRM administrator if you have any questions.

Litmos recommends that the installation, connection, authorization and configuration of the Litmos app be completely tested in a Salesforce sandbox Org prior to launch in a Salesforce production Org (and be mindful that this testing should be done with a Litmos sandbox account as well).

Once all of the component details have been reviewed, click "Install" to move forward with the installation of Litmos LMS Learning Management System into your Salesforce Org.
