The American Bar Association (ABA) awards an annual Legal Opportunity Scholarship to first-year law students. The mission of the program is to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to attend and completing law school. The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship grants 10 - 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial aid over the course of their three years in law school. Since its inception, more than 350 students from across the country have received the ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship.

Must be a member of one of the racial/ethnic groups set forth by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, a student with a disability, or a member of the LGBT community

The Paul D. White Scholarship is awarded annually to law students of Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Asian, American Indian or Alaska Native descent. The scholarship includes a paid summer clerkship and a $7,500 cash award.

Students with a Korean heritage studying in the United States regardless of citizenship status (including Korean Nationals). If extra funds are available, other students (non-Korean) may qualify for some scholarships. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.Students may apply for more than one scholarship types; however, they can only be awarded one scholarship type.

The attorneys, legal personnel, and staff at Morgan Lewis are a diverse mixture of backgrounds, ethnicity, and cultures. We are strengthened by this diversity. Morgan Lewis is therefore proud to present its Diversity Scholarship Program through the Morgan Lewis Foundation. Offer fellowships to first year law students from a diversity of backgrounds. The fellowships provide students a $15,000 academic scholarship and a paid summer associate position immediately following the completion of their first year of law school.

The Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship Program is a collaboration with AANAPISIs and the communities they serve to provide scholarships, expand institutional capacity and mobilize local resources to help foster economic development. The AANAPISI Scholarship is available annually to students attending APIA Scholars AANAPISI partner campuses listed below. Focus on students that: Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status; Are the first in their families to attend college; Are representative of the APIA community's diversity, geographically and ethnically, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity; and Have placed strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement.

Awarded to continuing law students who demonstrate financial need, community service, leadership experience and any hardship experienced in pursuing an education.

The Richard D. Hailey Scholarship is open to all incoming first, second and third year African American, Hispanic, Asian American, Native American and biracial AAJ law student members.

The Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Chicago Area Law Foundation is proud to offer a scholarship to Asian Pacific American law students who have demonstrated a commitment to serving the needs of the Asian Pacific American community, and who will continue to serve the needs through pro bono, public interest, and/or public service legal work. The LMJ Scholarship program seeks to nurture the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students and advancing the diversity pipeline to the legal profession. The LMJ Scholarship Program provides financial support to incoming first-year law students pursuing a juris doctorate degree.
