Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation Names Recipients of "Outstanding Women Law Student" Scholarships
13 exceptional female law students to receive $42,000 in total scholarship awards, with contributions from law firm and corporate partners
LANSING, MI ? The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 WLAM Foundation Awards for Outstanding Women Law Students. Besides their superior academic performance at Michigan law schools, these individuals lead efforts to advance the position of women in important areas of the law, including STEM, social justice, equality, child advocacy, and domestic violence.
Since 1997, the WLAM Foundation has awarded over $650,000 to more than 260 female law students. The recipients and sponsors for each of the $3,500 scholarships for 2020 are:

The Women Lawyers of Michigan () is a statewide organization providing wide-ranging networking and professional development opportunities for women lawyers includes attorneys, judges, and law students. Its mission is to secure the rights of women in society and advance the interests of women members of the legal profession, to promote improvements in the administration of justice, to promote equality and social justice for all people, to improve relations between the legal profession and the public, and to encourage the continued legal education of lawyers.
Since its founding in 1983, the primary mission of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation () has been to support the education of women who show leadership in advancing the position of women in society. That mission is realized annually through scholarship awards to outstanding women law students attending Michigan law schools.
