Job DescriptionJob Title:Senior Data and Performance AnalystService:Coram-iReporting to:Managing Director, Coram-iSalary Range:?35 to 40K depending on experienceKey Purpose of the Role:To provide analytical expertise to improve ways of working in organisations that provide services for looked after children by helping them to improve their collection and use of data.To contribute to the development of analytical approaches and tools that will support Coram-i’s improvement work and help ensure that the improvements Coram-i achieves in those organisations are sustainable.Main Duties & Responsibilities:Gather and analyse information about the problem to be solved or the procedure to be improved.Work with stakeholders and conduct on-site observations to determine the most appropriate methods, tools and resources.Analyse external performance data to provide insight into how to improve performance and efficiency in children’s social care services.Write reports and presentations for senior managers that clearly set out the findings from any analysis undertaken and make recommendations.Support the delivery of qualitative and quantitative analyses for the Impact and Evaluation team’s evaluation projects.Develop solutions or alternative practices to overcome issues faced by clients in relation to the collection and analysis of data.Recommend changes to management information systems that will help improve the collection and use of data.Support clients, such as local authorities, to deliver change in their organisation.Support managers to ensure that the implemented changes are successful.Person Specificationcenter0Qualifications 00Qualifications A degree in a subject that included a significant element of quantitative analysisSkills Knowledge & ExperienceEvidenced interest in, and commitment to, the best outcomes for children and young people, including knowledge of issues affecting children and young people in statutory or community settings.Ability to use both numerical and qualitative data to inform work plans.Ability to interpret a wide range of information and use these findings to make proposals.Knowledge and understanding of current issues, trends and service provision in working with children and young people is desirable.Ability to develop and implement service-wide strategies for data collection and use, with a particular focus on the ability to review and plan for service improvement.Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve problemsEvidence of having prepared reports and presentations to a variety of audiences with the proven ability to act as an effective ambassador for an organisation.Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely in both writing and speaking, as well as good listening skills Able to drive and influence change whilst maintaining an efficient and motivated workforce with experience of recruitment and performance managementThe ability to work under tight deadlines and use time efficiently to complete projects on time whilst working to conflicting mitted to professional development and able to support and develop managers and staff so that they are best able to take effective responsibility for the work of their teams and to delegate appropriately Able to evidence knowledge and understanding of local authority responsibilities for children and young people, and how these are delivered (e.g. partnerships as well as core functions through children’s social care) Experience of service improvement work would be advantageous, as would an understanding of the regulatory framework within which public services operate.Strong IT Skills in Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. ................
