It is very important to study for tests and quizzes. The first thing that is going to help you with tests and quizzes is to listen carefully during discussions, labs and activities in class. Completing assignments on time, and taking notes, will also help you better understand what we are studying and learning about each day. If you miss a class, make sure you make up the assignment(s) as soon as you can, so that you are ready to learn more when you return.

How to study? Don’t cram! 10-15 minutes over several days is best.

□ Read through your class notes every day.

□ Have a sibling, friend, or adult quiz you by asking you what the bold words in the book mean, and by asking you questions from the review sheets, notes, and the section and chapter reviews.

□ Practice using the “Quizlet” link provided for each unit.

□ You do NOT have to reread the book. Instead, look over the pictures, diagrams, and captions, and make sure you understand them.

□ Look at the section review questions, and make sure you can answer them.

□ Look at the chapter review questions, and make sure you can answer them.

□ If you don’t know an answer, look through the section and find it.

□ If you can’t find it in the section, ask your teacher.

□ Make sure you correct review sheets and look them over.

□ Get a good night’s sleep.

□ Eat a good breakfast.
