WEEK 1: Performing work safety practices

WEEK 2: Demonstrating the skill to identify small engine types, designs, and engine

components, and describe the operation of the engine

WEEK 3: Demonstrating the skill to disassemble and reassemble 6.75 horsepower Briggs

vertical shaft 4-cycle engine.

WEEK 4: Demonstrating skills in the servicing, repair, and maintenance of the fuel

system.

WEEK 5: Demonstrating skills in the servicing, repairing, and maintenance of the

ignition system.

WEEK 6: Demonstrating skills in the service, repair, and maintenance of the exhaust

System .

WEEK 7: Demonstrating the skill to disassemble and reassemble 6 horsepower Briggs

horizontal shaft engine.

WEEK 8-9: Demonstrating skills used in the overhauling of small engines.

WEEK 10: Demonstrating skills used in the servicing and repair of engine

starters.

WEEK 11: Demonstrating skills used in servicing, maintaining, and repairing

of electrical systems.

WEEK 12: Demonstrating skills used in ordering parts and materials, and in

maintaining records.

WEEK 13&14: Demonstrating skills to disassemble and reassemble Briggs 17.5 horsepower

Vertical shaft engine.

WEEK 15-17: Demonstrating skills used in lawn and garden equipment repair.

WEEK 18: Demonstrating skills used in chainsaw repair.
