Find the Spotify app

Ask your adult learner to find the Spotify app. They can look for it on the device's home screen or in the app launcher.

Ask your adult learner to tap on the Spotify app to open it

If Spotify is not installed on the device, ask your adult learner to open the Google Play Store. They can search for Spotify to download it. If your learner has never downloaded apps before, do this lesson first.

Search for music

Explain to your adult learner that Spotify allows them to listen to music for free

Help them create a free Spotify account

Explain to your adult learner that their free Spotify account has to be connected to the internet at all times. That means it's best that they use it when connected to wifi.

Ask your adult learner to tap the Search button

Explain that this is where they can search for any song, album, artist, genre, or podcast they want to listen to

Get your adult learner to tap the Library button. Here, they can see any playlist, artist, or album they've been listening to.

Help your adult learner search on

Spotify for musicians that they like Ask them to add those musicians to
