Opening:
The regular meeting of the SLPYHA Board was called to order at 8:01pm by Joey Orrey.
Approval of Minutes:
Approval of minutes from the May 13,, 2015 meeting.
Motion to approve: Barb Hegvik Seconded by: Jon Tranby
Matt St. Martin- Director of Athletic Activities
• Matt St. Martin -Introduction of new Varsity coach, Scott Steffan. Focused on building and interacting with youth hockey.
• Would like to see youth teams move up in levels or tiers of play.
• Would like to see Scott working with coaches.
Scott Steffan- Varsity Head Coach
• Would like to see skill development grow at the youth levels.
• Will be looking at training camps for summer.
President’s Report
• Coaches registration is now open.
• Discussion –Would like to implement a program where Varsity and JV players work with and help coach with the kids.
• Discussion on how to keep kids from playing out of district or playing outside leagues.
• Scott from Dave’s Sport Shop will be attending next meeting.
• Discussion of scholarship or hardship fund.
• Looking at Go Daddy for email accounts-help for transition
Vice President’s Report – Michelle Rice

• Review of receivables
• Discussion of outstanding invoices and collection process.
Traveling Director’s Report –Bob Roloff, Corey Piekarski
• Golf Tournament- registration is open.

• Attended Director Conference
Equipment Manager – Will Wackman
• Met with Greg Wacek on equipment.
• Spring Lake Park District is rebranding. Will impact youth Jerseys and equipment.
