LAUREL PARK PLACE MALL SHOWCASES IRISH TALENTS

MARCH 11

TO BENEFIT FOR CAPUCHINS

Detroit, MI (February 20, 2006)-The third annual St. Patrick’s Day event will take place at Laurel Park Place, March 11, 11AM-3 PM in the Parisian Court. The proceeds from this event will benefit the Capuchins.

“On March 11, everyone at the Laurel Park Place will be Irish,” organizer and mall Marketing Director, Patrick Derrig, explains. “We will have Irish food, music, games, and internationally famed Irish dancers. One lucky winner can even win a free round trip to Ireland and have the chance to stay in Cynthia Canty’s Irish Cottage.”

Master of Ceremonies, on-air personality Magic 105’s Cynthia Canty, will be hosting the event.

From 11am-3pm other free Irish giveaways will be offered, including traditional Irish shortbread, potted Shamrocks, and a copy of Ireland of the Welcomes, the official magazine of Ireland. Dancers from the Tim O’ Hare and Kitty Heinzman Schools of Irish Dance will be entertaining along with Mick Gavin’s Irish Band. Everyone can enter to win a FREE trip to Ireland. No purchase is necessary; however you must be present to have a chance to win.

The Capuchins have many ministries in the Detroit area including the Capuchin Soup Kitchen which provides over 2,000 meals a day to those in need.
