The Australian Shepherd Club of Southern California, Inc. &

Manzanita Agility Club Present the Third Annual

PAUL KIRK SILVER BUCKLE

AGILITY SERIES

2008-2009

Almost everyone who has attended an agility trial in California knows

Paul Kirk, Mary Finley, their dogs Zoo, Carrie, Renzo and the new little Miss Ellie

Paul is a founding father of Southern California Agility.

This is what we are doing to celebrate Paul and just for fun:

Paul Celebrated His 81st Birthday in 2008

All proceeds over and above the cost of the buckles will be donated to

Canine Cancer Research

We will have at least ten trials designated as the “Buckle Series”.

Your best five scores (total scores Regular, Jumpers and Gamblers/Chances) will count toward the series.

The trials will be NADAC or ASCA Trials. The “Series” will be open to all breeds. You will enter the series separate from your regular trial entry with a one-time $25.00 entry fee. A representative of the “Buckle Series” will attend to take your entry. Lorraine Cirinelli will track your points throughout the trials.

Scores will be counted from the time you enter “The Series”.

It would seem logical that you need to be entered in at least five of the trials.

At the last trial of the “Kirk Series”, we will award a beautiful

Silver Trophy Buckle

to each of the high scoring

Novice, Open, Elite and Veteran dog/handler teams.

Rules:

1. Open to all breeds.

2. You may not change divisions from the division you are in at the first of your trials.

(Veteran stays in Veterans, and Standard stays in Standard).

3. Dogs shall be owner handled.

4. Dogs must be handled by the same person throughout the series. The Buckle Series officials may

make the exception for a handler injured during the course of the series.

5. Scores will be counted from Regular, Gamblers/Chances, and Jumpers classes only.

6. Faulted Qs have proven to be too difficult to track. Only clean runs (10 point Q’s) will be

counted.

7. Scores will be tabulated after each of your trials, and the five best scores will

be added together to be used as your final total.

8. Ties will be broken by run off.

9. You may enter more than one dog in the series.

10. At NADAC Trials your dog can be entered in Skilled.

At your first trial of the series, dog must be entered in Novice classes across the board.

At subsequent trials dog may be entered at any level.
