All VPK students must be completely potty trained.
To be eligible for the 4 year old VPK program, parents must obtain a VPK certificate from The Early Learning Coalition, Our VPK class entitles a child to 3 hours of instruction per day paid for by the State of Florida (total of 540 hours per school year).
There is no cost to the parent for the half day VPK class, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost is fully paid by the State of Florida. If a half day VPK student utilizes morning care (7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.) there will be a cost of $3.00 per day, per child. Children picked up after 11:40 a.m. will be charged a late pick up fee of $1.00 per minute up to 12 Noon. At 12:01 p.m. children will be charged a flat rate late pick up fee of $40.00. There is no Registration fee for half day VPK students. Half day students that change during the school year to full day (even for one day) must pay a $150.00 non refundable registration fee at the time of the change from half to full day. This is a one time charge for all children that utilize the full day option.
If you choose the full day VPK class, the State of Florida pays fully for VPK hours (8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and the parent would be responsible for payment of the wrap around fee of $134.00 a week. If a student utilizes morning care (7:45 – 8:15 a.m.) there will be a cost of $3.00 per day, per child. Aftercare (3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) is charged at a rate of $5.00 per hour, per child. A non-refundable $150.00 Registration fee is due at the time of registration for all full day VPK students.
A morning snack/drink for half day students is provided by the parent. Parents provide a morning snack and drink, lunch and drink and an afternoon snack and drink for full day students.
