2002 Survey of the - NASADHH

2002 Survey of the

State Commissions, Divisions and Councils

Serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing People

Short Form

Prepared by Chris Hunter, Director

Michigan Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing

October, 2002

I. Purpose, Report and Acknowledgement

The purpose of this 2002 survey is to get update information on the current functions, budget, staffing and services of state agencies serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in the United States. Michigan Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing volunteered its services to gather information and issue this report. The Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing in 1998 and 2000 did the last surveys. This report is written primarily for the agency administrators.

This is a short form. It includes agency contact information, appropriations, staff, type of agency, next state directors meeting, and services. It does not include staff salaries like preceding surveys because it takes great time to respond. The data was gathered through fax correspondence.

This report minimizes writing with hope that the statistics are clear enough for us administrators to visualize. If you have any question, let me know.

Thank you for participating in this survey. Please report errors to me at hunterc2@.
