Our Most Successful Garage Sale!

We know how hard everyone worked getting ready for the Garage Sale, and from what we have heard it was very successful this year. We had a wonderful turn out, and the "Weather Gods" were good to us.

Started in June and continues every Wednesday through the summer

(June, July & August)

Come w/ your coffee, tea, or whatever you start your morning with!

No Dues, No Sign-up sheets, No Dress Code!

WATERING ....

Let us thank everyone for picking up the yard signs for the front of your home, and returning them on time. A "Big Thank You" goes out to Grace Barnes for all the organizing and running the garage sale this year. We would also like to thank Dave Barnes, Paul Brownell, Ralph Weimer and Nick Furibondo, for getting up early and getting the signs placed around the community. Thanks to Sharon for managing the sign procedure.

Your help is needed to water the flower pots surrounding our Clubhouse, those in the pool area and the flowers that lead out to the parking lot.

Please consider signing up for one week this Summer. Thank you in advance for helping keep us beautiful.

With Sincere Thanks,

-The Garden Club

Our next garage sale will be sometime in the fall... maybe around the end of September or the beginning of October. The fee charged for that upcoming fall sale will reflect a small increase in order to purchase new signs. Many of them have been stolen or damaged necessitating our acquiring new ones for fall. So that we can keep our garage sale a popular and profitable Stonegate event, this may need to become a yearly charge, but it will be worth every cent! Thanks a million, Sharon Rishel and Grace Barnes

Nothing obsessed explorers of the mid-nineteenth century more than the quest to discover the source of the White Nile. It was the planet's most elusive secret, the prize coveted above all others. Between 1856 and 1876, six larger-than-life men and one extraordinary woman accepted the challenge. Showing extreme courage and resilience, Richard Burton, John Hanning Speke, James Augustus Grant, Samuel Baker, Florence von Sass, David Livingstone, and Henry Morton Stanley risked their lives and reputations in the fierce competition. Award-winning author Tim Jeal deploys fascinating new research to provide a vivid tableau of the unmapped "Dark Continent," its jungle deprivations, and the courage--as well as malicious tactics--of the explorers.
