Student E-mail Password Reset Instructions NOTE

Student E-mail Password Reset Instructions NOTE: If you are having difficulty logging in to your student e-mail account, it may be that you are not getting to the correct login page. Please be sure that you are accessing your account by one of the following three methods:

? Browse to and click on "Log Into Green River Student E-mail" ? Browse to ? Browse to If you use any of those three options, you should be presented with a login screen with an "Office 365" title above it. If you see anything else (for example if it says "Outlook"), then you are not at the correct login screen and will need to clear out some incorrectly saved information from your web browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, then you will need to open Internet Explorer and go to "Tools ? Internet options" and in the "Browsing history" section of the "General" tab, click on the "Delete..." button. On the page that opens you will need to select at least the following four options (though you may select any others that you like as well): ? Temporary Internet files and website files ? Cookies and website data ? History ? Form data Depending on your version of Internet Explorer, those options may be labeled slightly differently, but once the appropriate selections are made, click on the "Delete" button. Wait for the deletion process to complete (in IE 10 you will see a pop-up at the bottom of your browser window), then close out of any remaining open windows and close all Internet Explorer windows. To be sure that all Internet Explorer processes have closed, we recommend rebooting your computer. After you have done this, then you should be able to use any of those three login options to arrive at the correct log in screen that will look similar to the image below (note the "Office365" logo):

If you are at the correct login screen, and still having difficulty logging in, then please proceed with resetting your password.

NOTE: If you have configured a password reset option with Microsoft (specified and validated either a phone or personal e-mail address), then you can reset your student e-mail password instantaneously via Microsoft's website. If you have not configured and validated a password reset option with Microsoft, or no longer have access to the phone or personal e-mail account you specified, then you will need to request a password reset via Green River's website which can take anywhere from 2 hours to 3 business days to process. It is highly recommended to configure a password reset option with Microsoft. If you have configured a password reset option with Microsoft and have forgotten your password, then you can click on the "Can't access your account?" link on the Microsoft logon screen:

After clicking "Can't access your account?" you will be prompted for your student e-mail address and to prove that you are human by typing a code displayed on the screen or heard over your speakers. Provide the requested information and then click "Next".

You will then be prompted to either "Email my alternate email", "Text my mobile phone", or "Call my mobile phone". If you select one of the phone options, it will prompt you to re-enter the phone number you previously configured. Please click the appropriate button to proceed. Depending on which option you are using to perform your password reset, it will be a button that says "Email", "Text", or "Call". For example, if you want to receive a text, it will look something like:

You will then be prompted to enter the verification code that you received via your phone or personal e-mail. Once you have entered the verification code, click "Next".

If you have successfully entered the verification code, you will be prompted to enter a new password twice and click "Finish".

You can then click on the "click here" link to log in to your student e-mail account with the password you just specified.

You will be returned to the usual log in screen where you will enter your student e-mail address and new password to access your e-mail account.

If you are unable to reset your password via Microsoft's website (either you have never configured any password reset options with Microsoft or you do not have access to the phone or personal e-mail account you specified when configuring a way to reset your password with Microsoft), then you will need to reset your password via GRC's website. This is not instantaneous. You will be shown a temporary password that you will need to wait anywhere from 2 hours to 3 business days before you can use. It will be a one time use password. You will be prompted to create a new password as soon as you use it to log in to your student e-mail account. If you need to reset your student e-mail password via GRC's website, then:

1. Go to the GRCC Password Reset Page o Direct = o To browse there go to On the right-hand side of the screen, under "In This Section", click on "Reset Your Password" Click on the "Have Green River request a reset" button
