UNITED STATES HISTORYU.S. MAPS PROJECT INCLUDEPICTURE "" \* MERGEFORMATINET IntroductionAs part of your study of United States history this year, you will memorize the names and locations of each of the 50 states and their capitals, as well as other major cities and important physical features in each of those states. ProcessIn order to memorize the entire map of the U.S. we will break the country down into nine regions. You will receive an outline map of each region, along with a list of the states, capitals, and other items that you will be required to know. You will have time in class (during a double block period) to label, color, and decorate the map. Construction of the map will be graded as a classwork assignment. When your map is returned to you, you should begin to study it; there will be a quiz on the map during the following week. For the map quiz, you will need to be able to label the states, capitals, and other selected features on a blank outline map. There will not be a “word bank.” After we complete the maps and quizzes for each of the country’s nine regions, you will take cumulative quizzes on the Eastern U.S., Western U.S. and then the entire nation. Good luck, and happy mapping!!First Assignment: New EnglandMap Due: TodayQuiz: Next Week (during Double Block) ................
