Medaille College

The Reading Center, 77 Humboldt Parkway (third house from Medaille’s Buffalo Campus); Tues. & Thurs. mornings from July through mid-August; sessions from 9-11 am; approx.. cost $95.00 per child/ $140 per two children/ $200 three children (price reflects early reg.; After deadline of 6/1/19 cost increases to approx. $100/$150/$210);

Small Group “Skills Brush Up” Program also avail; approx $100 for ten sessions;

ELA /Theater & Arts Camp, Skill Building in Reading and Writing: “Learn, Create, & Perform;” July 8-19;

Approx. $300/ student for two weeks; M-F 8:30-4:30;

for students entering gr.3-6; contact Catherine Sedota at The Thomas Reynolds Center for Special Education, Daemen College Campus, 4380 Main Street, Amherst 839-7620; must provide own transportation daily. Program is held on campus & includes theme-based reading and writing activities per day with certified teachers, along with creative arts activities; breakfast & afternoon snack provided; must bring lunch daily;

Summer One-to-One Reading and Writing Sessions;

UB Center for Literacy and Reading Instruction (CLaRI); 17 Christopher Baldy Hall, The Univer. At Buffalo, Amherst; July 8 -Aug. 10; Gr. K-12;

Approx. $55/60 min. session, with a min. of 5 sessions across 5 weeks ($275 total for 1 session ea week);

Mon, Wed, Thurs. @4:00, 5:15, or 6:30 pm; Tues. @ 10:00 or 11:15 am; Sat. @ 9:00, 10:15, or 11:30 am;

CLaRI’s Summer Reading and Writing Society Camp

Provides literacy enrichment instruction for 2 weeks from July 15-26; 8:30am -noon; $300; for students entering 2nd-5th grade; Focus is on developing writing abilities as well as learning to apply comprehension strategies and read fluently; Children will learn elements of composition, how to engage in writing process, and skills that strong readers possess.

Leap into Literacy Program™; Research-based program focused on improving language and literacy skills for preschool students ages 3-5.

Social Communication Program™; Research-Based program focused on improving conversation, self-regulation, and cooperation skills for students ages 5-18.

St. Francis High School Summer Enrichment Program for boys entering 6th, 7th, & 8th grades:

Held: July 8-26; 8:15 am-3:30 pm.;

Students may attend one, two, or three weeks;

M-Th morning sessions focus on academics: art, technology, math, and science;

M-Th afternoon sessions offers choice of interactive explorer activities or team sports (lacrosse, *hockey, soccor, baseball); Fridays are Field Trip Days ending at noon; Students bring own bag lunches M-Th; snacks and beverages available for purchase.

Approx. Cost: 1 wk $180/2 wks $280/3wks $380;

$60 addl charge for hockey-ice time;
