f. How is life on earth dependent on the Sun’s energy? *Explain/illustrate the water cycle.
*Explain/illustrate photosynthesis.

h. How do the planets revolve around the sun? Which planet is closest to the sun? Farthest?
i. Explain solstice and equinox.
2. The Moon: Explain and illustrate each of the following!
a. What does the moon look like? What is it made up of?
b. How does the moon get its light?

e. Explain and illustrate each planet. Explain facts about each planet: (for earth – see f, g, h, & i)
1. What it is made up of? Rock or gas and/or gas?
2. Average Temperature of the planet?
3. How far away from the sun is it? How long does it take for it to revolve around the sun?
4. Does it rotate? How long does that take?
5. What is its diameter? (How big is it?)
6. Does it have any moons? How many?
f. Which planet, as far as we know, is the only planet able to sustain life? Why is that?
