Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund

As the Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund (TCMF) was wait-listed in the 2013/2014 fiscal year, TIA Yukon would like to encourage operators to apply early to ensure funding is set aside for their projects in the 2014/2015 fiscal year. Remember to apply to the fund before you attend any shows.

TIA Spring Conference

 

This year's conference will be held in Whitehorse from April 24-26, 2014 at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre.

Online registration closes on Friday April 17th, at 5pm so if you have not yet registered, be sure to do so.

Small Vehicle Operator Proficiency Course

WTAY is looking into the possibility of hosting another SVOP Course. This course is now a legal requirement from Transport Canada, for anyone transporting more than 6 clients in a boat. However, to offer this course in Yukon is expensive as instructors must be brought up from BC. Therefore I am looking for expressions of interest from you. If you have staff that require this training, and would be interested in sending them on the course, please let me know how many people you would sign up, and which season would be best (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). There is a possibility that instructors may be up in early July, so please could you also indicate if this is a feasible time for you.
