How to Enroll

Guest Students

University students home for the summer are welcome to attend PSC to earn credits to transfer back to your school in the fall. This initiative allows you to get ahead by taking general education courses and applying those credits to your academic progress at your Four-year institution.

New Students

New students are required to schedule an appointment with a First Year Experience Advisor to discuss college placement, programs, courses, etc. During the session, you will either register or be directed to complete your college placement exam. Set up your appointment at prairiestate.edu/start.

Current and Returning Students

Current or returning PSC students can register for classes on WebAdvisor. If you need help choosing your classes, our academic advisors are here to help. See page 7 for information on how to contact your advisor.

Non-Credit Classes

Students interested in non-credit classes, visit prairiestate.edu/noncredit.

Paying for College

Don't let paying for college be the obstacle that stops you from accomplishing your academic goals. At PSC, there are numerous ways to help you pay your tuition.

Financial Aid

Be sure to complete your 2020-2021 FAFSA at . Many degree-seeking and qualifying credit certificate program students qualify for federal aid. If you need assistance with your application, please contact our Financial Aid office at financial-aid@prairiestate.edu.

Foundation Scholarships

The PSC Foundation assists students who demonstrate financial need but may not qualify for state or federal funding. This includes undocumented and international students. The summer 2021 scholarship application opens on April 19. Complete the online application online at prairiestate.edu/foundation. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Students must be enrolled in the summer semester to be eligible.

Payment Plans

Students can spread their payments out over the semester with our convenient payment plan options. Visit prairiestate.edu for more information.

Student Loans

At PSC, we encourage students to explore all other financial options before taking out loans. However, if there

are no other alternatives, loans are available to qualified students. To make a loan appointment, visit

prairiestate.edu/finaid.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still take my placement tests?

PSC offers students the ability to complete placement assessments online. Please email advising@prairiestate.edu to get the process started. If you need the English/Reading Assessment, you will receive a packet by email to complete it remotely. For math placement, you now require a proctored assessment to register for classes. Instructions will be emailed to you if applicable. Learn more at prairiestate.edu/testing.

Can I register in person?

To keep our college community safe, PSC will continue operating online during the summer 2021 semester. We are available by phone, email, or virtual appointment only. Those who want to meet with an advisor or speak with someone in enrollment services, financial aid, or the business office are welcome to schedule a virtual appointment at prairiestate.edu/start.

How do I get my textbook?

Students may purchase books online at prairie. or in person at the Barnes and Noble College

bookstore on the main campus. Summer hours are listed at prairiestate.edu/general-information.

The Office of Military Student Affairs provides academic and social support to veterans, emphasizing graduation and
