Vote for Most Improved Remind everyone that this can be anyone who spoke during the evening, not just one of the prepared speeches

Give Master Evaluator Report This comes last, as you can’t give an effective report until everyone has performed their functions and delivered their reports

Things to look for during the meeting

Did the meeting start on time? If not, how late was it?

The Toastmaster

* Were they dressed professionally?

* Did they do a good job? If not, what could they have done differently or better?

* Did they have a theme? If so, was it carried throughout the meeting?

Educational Moment

* Was it helpful?

Table Topics

* Did they ask the question first, pause, and then call on someone?

* Did they call on functionaries and people who didn’t have a major speaking role, or did they call on speakers and evaluators?

* Did any guests participate? If so, mention it.

Evaluators

* Were they dressed professionally? (business/smart casual)

* Did they use the “sandwich method”?

* Did they offer the speakers helpful suggestions?

* Give them specific examples of what they did well, and also what they could improve.

Remember: You’re evaluating the evaluators. They want to improve, too.

Functionaries

Grammarian

* Did they describe their responsibilities well?

* The purpose of the Word of the Day is to help us improve and expand our vocabulary. Was the word one that is not typically used in everyday conversation, but that can be used in everyday conversation?

* Did they give the accurate pronunciation of the word?

* Did they give proper examples of the word?

* Was the word printed large enough to be easily seen in the back of the room?

* Did they report on how many people used the word?

* Did they listen well and make note of word pictures, colorful phrases, and incorrect grammar?

Ah Counter

* Did they describe their responsibilities well?

* Did they catch all of the infractions they were supposed to, or did they get caught up in the speeches, etc. and miss a lot?

* Did they ring the bell?

Timer

* Did they describe their responsibilities well?

* Did they find out how long the speeches would be prior to the meeting?
