Morning Routine: Reading PracticeUse the template on the subsequent page to practice daily four card readings. Incorporate it into your morning routine while you are learning tarot as a beginner or when you are studying a new deck or tarot system (for example, if you are a Rider-Waite-Smith reader and now want to learn to read with the Thoth, then consider adopting this daily routine to help you acclimate to the Thoth). In lieu of the four card reading, a three card reading or any other simple spread can be used. Spreads larger than 5 cards are not recommended for this purpose, because these readings are not intended to be in-depth, but rather, to get you to focus on the study of a few cards each day. Note that a template for a three card practice is also included herein. Decide which you will be using, the four-card or the three-card spread, print out several copies of that page, and log them as entries in your tarot journal. If the purpose of the morning routine is to learn a new deck, then look up each card in its accompanying guidebook or little white booklet and jot down notes in your reading sheet accordingly.
